Dr. Chris Miller is a native of West Des Moines, Iowa where he graduated from Valley High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in psychology, with a minor in biology, from the University of Iowa in 1999. Dr. Miller then graduated magna cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois, making the dean’s list for ten quarters as well as being a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Fraternity and the Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity. He had externships in Vermont, Colorado Springs, CO, and Beaufort, SC.
Upon graduation from optometry college, Dr. Miller practiced in the Chicago, Illinois area for three years. In the summer of 2006, he returned to the Des Moines area where he entered private practice with Associated Ophthalmologists, PC.
His many activities include volunteering with the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Dance Marathon Fundraiser. He also is a member of the Contact Lens Society, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, the Illinois Optometric Association, and the Iowa Optometric Association.
Chris and his wife, Paige, are the proud parents of three children. They are happy to be back near family.
Chris enjoys practicing in the Des Moines area using his experience and training in contact lenses, glaucoma, dry eye, macular degeneration, diabetic eye exams and routine eye examinations.
